Your use of our Internet sites or any of the products or services offered on the sites (hereinafter referred to collectively as the "Services") is subject to this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy"). Yurbook, Inc. may modify the Policy at any time without notice to you by posting the revised Policy on our sites. Your use of our sites constitutes your binding acceptance of the Policy, including any modifications that Yurbook, Inc. may make. This Policy applies to the Internet site that you were viewing when you clicked through to this page.
Yurbook, Inc. and specific related third parties, being parent companies, subsidiaries or affiliates (specifically Titan Global Trading Ltd. and/or Yurbook Media Corp (Canada) Ltd.), are the sole owners of the information collected on www.Yurbook.com. Yurbook, Inc. collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our Internet sites.
Subscription
In order to use our Internet sites, you must first complete the subscription form and create a user name and password. During subscription process you are required to give contact information (such as your name, the school you attend and your email address). Yurbook, Inc. uses this information to contact you about the Services on our site in which you have expressed interest and, to ensure your access eligibility to specific Services and information.
Orders
If you purchase a Service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and address) and financial information (such as a credit card number and expiration date). Yurbook, Inc. uses this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.
Surveys or Contests
From time-to-time Yurbook, Inc. may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys on our Internet sites. If you choose to participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code). Yurbook, Inc. uses this information to notify contest winners and award prizes, to monitor site traffic or personalize the site (in the case of anonymous information collected in surveys), to send participants an email newsletter.
Yurbook, Inc. may use a third party service provider to conduct these surveys or contests; in the event that we do so, that company will be prohibited from using our users’ personally identifiable information for any other purpose. Yurbook, Inc. will not share the personally identifiable information you provide through a contest or survey with other third parties unless we give you prior notice and a choice to opt out.
Refer-A-Friend
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, Yurbook, Inc. will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit Yurbook.com. Yurbook, Inc. stores this information about your friend for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.
Your friend may contact us at complaints@Yurbook.com to request that we remove this information from our database.

Newsletters
If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s), Yurbook, Inc. will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe. Please see the “Choice and Opt-out” section of this Policy for further details.
Service-related Announcements
Yurbook, Inc. will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.
Customer Service
Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, Yurbook, Inc. will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. Yurbook, Inc. will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the Services you request, and to manage your account. Yurbook, Inc. will communicate with you by email or telephone, in accordance with your wishes.
Profile
Yurbook, Inc. stores the information that we collect through cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third party sources to create a “profile” of your preferences. Yurbook, Inc. ties your personally identifiable information, and your purchasing history, to information in the profile, in order to provide tailored promotions and marketing offers and to improve the content of our Internet sites for you. Yurbook, Inc. does not share your profile with other third parties.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
Yurbook, Inc. shares aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This information does not identify individual users.
Yurbook, Inc. does not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.
Personally identifiable information: Yurbook, Inc. collects personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, mobile number and credit card information when you provide it to us. From time to time, we may also collect other sensitive information such as your gender, username and password. We may also receive information about you from other sources and add it to the information you provided to us.
When you subscribe for a Yurbook, Inc. Basic or Pro Account, you create your own profile and privacy settings. Your profile information, as well as your name, email and photo, are displayed to people in the networks specified in your privacy settings to enable you to connect with the people you choose. Profile information is used by Yurbook, Inc. primarily to be presented back to and edited by you when you access the Service and to be presented to others permitted to view that information by your privacy settings. In some cases where your privacy settings permit it (e.g., posting to your personal Yurbook), other Yurbook, Inc. users may be able to supplement your stored information.
Profile information you submit to Yurbook, Inc. will be available to other users of Yurbook, Inc. who belong to at least one of the groups you allow to access the information through your privacy settings (e.g., school, friends, Yurbook faculty staff ).
Yurbook, Inc. shares personally identifiable information with a limited number of Third Parties as follows:
- With parent companies, subsidiaries or affiliated companies for reasons of corporate record keeping purposes, where relevant.
- Yurbook, Inc. may use a credit card or other payment processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies do not retain share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.
- Yurbook, Inc. may use related third parties, being parent companies, subsidiaries or affiliates (specifically Titan Global Trading Ltd. and/or Yurbook Media Corp (Canada) Ltd.), to provide specific Services on our Internet Sites. When you sign up for certain Services, we will share your personally identifiable as necessary for these third parties to provide the requested Service. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.
- Yurbook, Inc. may use unrelated third parties
- You have elected to allow us to share that information at the time that you subscribed for Services with Yurbook, Inc. or provided us the information, or through a subsequent affirmative election through our Internet Sites.
- You volunteer information or create a public profile in the course of your participation in our community features such as forums, user opinions and reviews, chat rooms, photo sharing or other forms of public communication and interaction.
- You use co-branded services (i.e., sites or services that we offer to you in connection with a partner, who is identified on the site). When you use a co-branded service within our network of sites, you grant us permission to pass your subscription information back to that service partner. Their use of your information is subject to their applicable privacy policies.
Invitations and Other Communications
to Non-members: Yurbook, Inc. subscribers can invite friends to use the Service or to access some or all of the subscriber’s personal Yurbook by sending invitation emails. Yurbook, Inc. stores the email addresses that subscribers provide so that the respondents may be added to the “permitted list” of the subscriber sending the invitations. Yurbook, Inc. does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations or invitation reminders (up to three (3) per email address). Recipients of invitations from Yurbook, Inc. subscribers may contact Yurbook, Inc. at complaints@Yurbook.com to request that we remove their information from our database.
Legal Disclaimer: Yurbook, Inc. reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Internet sites.
Choice/Opt-out
Yurbook, Inc. provides you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information. For example, if you purchase a product/service but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preference on our order form.
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by emailing us at complaints@Yurbook.com.
Yurbook, Inc. offers an opportunity to opt-out of certain communications on our user subscription pages, or you may contact us at complaints@Yurbook.com to opt-out.
You will be notified when your personal information may be collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.
Log Files
As is true of most Internet sites, Yurbook, Inc. gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
Yurbook, Inc. uses this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
Yurbook, Inc. does link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information in a limited way. Specifically, IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information to ensure that only authorized users are allowed access to certain restricted areas of our Internet sites. We also automatically receive and record information from our servers and from your browser, including your IP address, the time of your visit to pages on our site, and information about pages you visited. Unless you have registered for one of our Services, the information we gather through the use of tracking technologies cannot be matched with any personally identifiable information about you.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. Yurbook, Inc. uses cookies on our Internet sites for site enhancements. We do/do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.
Yurbook, Inc. uses both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close you browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file.
We set a persistent cookie to store your username, so you can choose not to enter it on return visits to the site. Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
Yurbook, Inc. may employ (or our third party advertising partners may employ) a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Internet sites pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
Yurbook, Inc. uses clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our subscription or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
Yurbook, Inc. follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Although Yurbook, Inc. allows you to set privacy options that limit access to your information, you must be aware of the fact that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Yurbook, Inc. cannot control the actions of other subscribers with whom you may choose to share your information. Business Transitions

Privacy of children
None of the Yurbook, Inc. Internet sites are directed to children under the age of 13. We operate our network of sites in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and do not permit subscription by, and will not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from, anyone under 13 years of age. This requirement is clearly posted during the subscription process. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
